Thank you to Heather Cottrell for a great night and fun discussion about Anne Perry AKA The Mormon Murderess. It seemed like it was a busy night so we didn't have the whole crew, but thanks for all who came. I just love being together, big or small, it is always such a great chance to recharge the brain batteries with great friends.
Here is what is coming up next:
No meeting in May
June 25th "The River of Doubt" by Candice Millard at Norine Garrett's house
July 30th "Gifted Hands" by Ben Carson at Charlyn Anderson's house
August-SHAKESPEARE FESTIVAL!!!!
Sept 24th-Need book/hostesses
Oct 22nd or 29th-Need book/hostesses
Dec 3-Need book/hostesses
As you can see, we have a few open months in the fall (hard to think about now, but nice to get some books picked for summer reading . . . ) so if you're up for it, let me know. Tara are you still interested in hosting the Perfume book sometime? Let me know!
SHAKESPEARE UPDATE:
Due to popular demand, the weekend chosen will be August 28-29. We have had a great response to the Shakespeare Trip. We have a big group at the moment, so excited! I just booked all four family suites at the Best Western we stayed at last year, so we have room for 24, but could always add more smaller rooms. If someone will lend their AAA membership number to the cause, it will be $25.00 per person for the hotel room. I am sending out a separate email with further email about Shakespeare details to those who are tentatively committed to going this August. If you haven't responded to me yet (YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE!!!) it's not to late. I might even have to send a personal reminder if this doesn't do the trick. We have 22 people on the list. Don't miss out. It is going to be EPIC.
BLOG:
If you forget what we are reading, or can't find my latest email update, check the blog. I try to keep it updated, so it is always a good place to quickly see what is coming up!
