Fall Update

This is the latest update for future book club information!

September 30th-The Help by Kathryn Stockett-Mel's house, 8:30 p.m.

November 4th-A Town Like Alice by Neville Shute-Paula Dahlgren's house, 8:30 p.m.

December 2nd-Black Wave by John Silverwood-Heather Cottrell's house, 8:30 p.m. Husbands are invited, let them know now so they have time to read if they'd like. You don't need your husband to come to this meeting, and he doesn't have to read the book, although he will probably enjoy the meeting a lot more if he does!

January 6th-The Last Lecture by Randy Pausch-Carol Le Mon's house, 8:30 p.m.

February 3rd-TBD-Kathleen Lewis' house, 8:30 p.m.

March 3rd-The Prize Winner of Defiance Ohio by Terry Ryan-Robin Bloomfield and Tara Butler's house, 8:00 p.m. Movie will be shown.

April 7th-TBD-Sherry McKinnon's house, 8:30 p.m.

Notes:
There are 5 Thursdays in September and the first thursday is the McKinnon's wedding reception so we decided to move the meeting to the 30th to avoid conflicts (because we all want to go Sherry!) and the following Thursday is UEA.

Concern was raised about having a meeting in January. The book picked is a fast, inspirational read which hopefully won't bog you down during the holidays. It is also a week into Jan so you have a few days once the kiddos go back to school to fly through it. Or, if you don't have kiddos at home, you still have a week after the holidays to fly through it! :)

One of the things we wished the most at the Shakespeare Festival is that we could have all been in a home or something where we could visit longer. The hotel made this difficult. I found a place in Cedar City that is a potential for next year. It is a home, with 7 bedrooms, and can sleep 14 people! It would be $40.00 a night if we could get 14 people to go, so a bit more than our $30.00 cost at the Holiday Inn, but we'd all be together, which would be more fun.

Here is a link to the website. http://www.duncansuites.com/ It is also just down the street from the Festival, we could WALK! So, obviously no need to commit now, but if this is something you want to do, start putting your pennies away now! The line-up next year includes A Midsummer Night's Dream, Richard III, etc. etc. etc.
